Kit List for Narrowboat Trips
- Sleeping bag and Pillow.
- Change of clothes - we would strongly suggest that your boating clothes are not too smart and fashionable. Boating is not a clean activity and you may regret spoiling your best clothes. It is nice perhaps to have some smart clothes for going out in the evening, but not too many.
- Trainers are good for boating, but make them an old pair and perhaps bring a spare.
- Bring warm clothes for winter, including gloves and a hat. A hat is useful in the sun too.
- Waterproofs could be handy if it rains or if it is windy.
- Wash kit.
- Tea towel.
- Swimwear if you plan a visit to a swimming pool. Swimming is not allowed in London’s waterways.
- Torch - useful at night, as it can be very dark.
- Pack everything into soft bags for ease of stowage.
- Please do not bring knives, air guns, expensive watches and jewelry.
