About our Narrowboats

Seventy-two feet long and six feet wide, both our boats are licensed to carry twelve passengers and are run with a high level of care. There is always an experienced skipper on board to ensure the safety of the groups, and the boats are well equipped with safety features. Day Trips & Evening Sorties We offer short day/afternoon trips along the Regents Canal, through London Zoo and Maida Vale out to Kensal Green, or through Canden Market, some locks and the Islington Tunnel. Either way there is a multitude of scenic interests for people of all ages and abilities. Adventure Holidays The boats represent a controlled area, but with plenty of activity and an ever changing setting. It gives everyone on board a chance to express their personality. It is not our aim to offer chauffer-driven cruises, but to involve the groups in all aspects of boating - steering, using the ropes and working the locks. It is our wish to tailor each trip to the needs of the group, so the more we talk and plan the better the result will be. A trip on the Pirate Princess or Pirate Viscount is a memorable experience, and many of our groups return time and time again. Accommodation afloat in London We can also provide overnight bankside accommodation for groups visiting London. We have room for twelve people on each boat, in the secure private moorings on the bankside at the Pirate Castle. We are well placed in the heart of fashionable Camden for easy access to the main London tourist attractions, and can even provide a few of our own, with canalside access to a unique blend of old and modern London.
'Pirate Viscount'
The Pirate Viscount is equipped for day trips through the zoo or to Limehouse Basin, with an open-plan interior which makes it ideal as a mobile classroom for school and community groups. As well as a large front cabin, the boat has a kitchen and male & female toilet facilities, plus a seperate rear cabin large enough for group leaders to sleep in.
'Pirate Princess'
The Pirate Princess is equipped with sleeping accommodation for longer voyages through London and beyond, and can also provide bankside accommodation for groups visiting London for a few days. She has a large bow seating area, three four-berth cabins, front and rear toilet/washrooms, a shower and a large galley & dining area.
Both boats come with a freeze-dried Skipper and Crew (just add tea), who will pilot the boats and attend to the group's safety. Our Skippers are experienced and CCBM qualified, as well as having had first aid and safety training.
