Boat Handling Experience Days 2023	The Pirate Castle will be running our popular in-house Boat Handling Experience Days throughout 2023. These non-certificated one day attendance courses provide a friendly, hands-on experience supervised by our skilled and experienced staff, and cover all the basic canal boat and lock handling skills required to make your future boating a much more enjoyable (and safe) experience. Perfect if you're new to boating, contemplating a boating holiday or just want to brush up your existing boating skills! The experience day covers the following topics:
Youth, Family & Adult / Corporate Groups	Paddlesport for ages 8+
Residential Canal Boat Cruises	Residential cruises on our widebeam boat, Pirate Prince, offer hands-on, life-enriching opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to discover the waterways, gain life skills and learn more about themselves, the world around them and each other.
Schools & Community Group Paddlesport	Develop new skills, get active and have fun with our subsidised kayaking sessions for schools, community groups and support services.
Paddlesport	The Pirate Castle's paddlesport sessions are a great way to get outdoors, have fun and explore the Regent's Canal by kayak, canoe or bell-boat!

The 'Knot Ready' Ropework Course! The 'Knot Ready' Ropework Course The Pirate Castle has launched our brand new knot tying and ropework course! Perfect for new boaters, or those about to buy a boat to learn the ropes (as well as a brush up for those with more experience). The course will cover the tying of 12 of the important knots you need to know, will show you how to splice and whip, along with rope storage and rope handling techniques and include advice on boat mooring.
